The thoughts that swirl around
Try to find a place to rest
What do I really want from life
And what is really best

I want to know all the answers
Before the questions are asked
Want to know where life will lead
But not take it on too fast

Balance would be the answer
Relax and one day at a time
But will today's choice take me
To those dreams of mine

Or will I be swept along
Further from where I began
Left to struggle once again
To discover life's plan

Not just one life to lead
But be the leader for four
What an awesome privilege
And yet frightening even more

Drawing from strength I didn't know I had
With love and patience to the end
My goals should not be further
Than being a great mom and friend
