A Little Girl's Hero is the Man Whom 
She Admires Most ...
"Her Daddy".



The memories I long for, 
are those of my past
These are the ones 
which will always last.

There were many long nights 
when I was feeling ill
You'd sit by my bed 
til my little eyes shut

And when scared at night, 
you'd let me crawl 
in bed beside you

You were there,
to warm my small feet 
that one winter day

When home from school I came, 
frozen from being outside 
too long

There are times I remember 
which make me laugh out loud

Hurrying down the stairs 
the minute mom left the house
To listen to our record 
and dance around

... Or

There were those simplest moments 
that I long for the most

You asking me if I was going to go 
with you to haul water 
And go to the dump

We would sing our song 
every single time

"Are You Mine"
(yes I am)

And then those 
little silly things 
I always did

Like following you 
all around the house 
all day long

You couldn't even 
have privacy 
in the washroom

I'd be there peeking 
under the door saying, 
"I see you Daddy."

I felt special knowing 
I was your little princess

These are a few of the many memories 
I hold close to me heart, 
to remind me of you

Now we have many more
to look forward to

My graduating college, 
getting married 
and a moment 
which will be 
most precious to me

Your eyes lighting up 
and the smile on your face, 
the moment you look into 
My first child's eyes

You are my DADDY and my HERO!
