Older Folks

Lives Not Loved

They sit and stare at the wall in front of them,
Hoping that someone will spend some time with them.
Can't someone just talk to them and give them a smile,
But instead they sit and sit for a very long while.

It is so hard to be all alone,
And know that no more will you roam.
The friends are gone and family don't care.
They just want you out of their hair.

To think that after all these years,
That no one cares; are your biggest fears.
Where's the love that people should give?
What kind of life do we all live?

Where is the caring and love and compassion?
People lets make a smile the new fashion.
Open your heart and really care,
For there may come a day when you are there.
