Long, long ago, we had some dreams,
Just a young man and a girl in her teens,
Through Grandma's and Grandpa's, that's how we met.
Those special people we won't forget.

Four super parents brought us into this life,
And they sat and they watched as we were made man and wife.
In a church we were married, through the eyes of the Lord,
Joined together for life of our own accord.

We chose each other because we were us,
Not for good looks and riches and such.
You were a man both gentle and caring,
Our life together would be equal and sharing.

Brothers and sisters, with both we've been blessed
Favorites there's none, cause they're all the best!
Aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, there are sure lots,
Special cousins we've played with since we were all tots.

Our kids came along, both bundles of joy
Both little girls, there was no little boy.
One with big freckles and one with nice curls
Both all ours -- our own little girls!

Now they are married and gave us two sons
For hunting and fishing and playing with guns.
Also a grand-daughter who's special no doubt
And maybe in the future, there'll be more come about.

Our life together has been loving and sharing
Many little spats and sometimes wearing
Filling our dreams and counting our blessings
With good friends and relatives, there's little we're missing.
