A dad is someone
That's gentle and true
Someone that shows

His love and his heart
No matter what, he'll always be there.



So maybe we don't share blood or our name
But that does not matter
We're still father and daughter, just the same
Our love and our hearts still beat as one
You have filled the empty space
Where a dad there was none.



As the years pass I love you with all of my heart
You've brought me happiness and love
Right from the start
You are my dad, no matter what people say
It's been thirty years, and our love has grown stronger
