Home Town Friends
bar

As I sit and I think
of the days that have past.
The days of my childhood
the days that I thought
would last.
The time that I spent,
in a little northern town.
Growing up free and happy
childhood friends all around.
My home in the North
I love so very much.
Where true and loving friends
always stay in touch.
No matter where you roam
you will always come back.
To your mansion on the hill
or your little wooden shack.
Then one day you awake
a child you're no more.
We leave our childhood nest
like an eagle we do soar.
So many adventures
... so much to explore
our dreams are a challenge
until we reach the next door.
We stop for a moment
we dont make a sound.
But we think about someone
in our little northern town.
All our old friends are there
to greet us with a smile.
The years have not erased
your memories as a child.
We're all alittle older
the lines show in our face.
There's no place I would rather be
than in that little northern town.
Yes, our old friends are still there
if you really look around.
