Parents like the two of you 
are hard to come by
And so I should be thankful
I have the most devoted parents
on this earth
Besides being parents
You are my mentors, 
my teachers, and my best friends
I thank you
For always helping, 
understanding and supporting me
In everything I do
With your assistance, 
I have entered this world prepared
For the things life brings my way
You have attributed to all the things 
I love and believe in
I love you for that
You listen to my problems 
and in return give advice
Which I'll use forever
You've been teaching me about life, 
since I was old enough to understand
From this, I feel that I am a leader
Everyday I thank God for choosing me among the rest, 
to be your daughter
And I thank you also
Just for being there for me, 
for showing me what life is about
Many times I have not said
The words that should come so naturally, 
and they are
"I Love You!"
Thank you for making me 
the young woman I am today
